Daniel Murphy, M.D.

Dr. Murphy started medical school at the University of Florida College of Medicine in 1989. Upon graduating in 1993, he extended his training during a residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Orlando Regional Healthcare System before joining the Tampa Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Group in 1998. He has numerous professional affiliations, and is a National Board of Medical Examiners Diplomate, an American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery Diplomate, and an American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Fellow. Dr. Murphy also belongs to the Florida Medical Association, the Florida Orthopaedic Society, the Hillsborough County Medical Association, and the Eastern Orthopaedic Association.

As a Board-certified orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. Murphy is proud to be involved in the Tampa Bay community and is committed to serving patients not only at his South Tampa orthopaedic center, but also as a staff member at Memorial Hospital of Tampa, St. Joseph’s Hospital, and Tampa General Hospital. In 2011, Dr. Murphy was chosen as a team physician for the New York Yankees.

Arnold Ramirez, M.D.

Dr. Ramirez’s longstanding commitment to sports medicine began in 1995 when he obtained his medical degree at The Chicago Medical School, University of Health Sciences. He continued his professional training with a residency and fellowship at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, FL, and Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI. Between 1997 and 2008, Dr. Ramirez held several prestigious positions at Vencor Hospital, University of South Florida Physicians Group, and Bayfront Family Health Center, among others, before joining the Tampa Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Group practice as a sports medicine doctor in 2008.

Dr. Ramirez is a Board-certified doctor in Primary Care Sports Medicine and is proud to have served as the team physician for the Tampa Bay Lightning from the year 2000 through their Stanley Cup-winning season in 2004. Since 2000, he also has been a team physician for University of South Florida athletics. He is currently a Clinical Associate Professor at Florida State University College of Medicine and an Affiliate Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida College of Medicine.
